Command Center

Install Command Center

Command Center runs on Windows 11 (64-bit). Nothing else needs to be installed.

1. Download

Command Center hasn’t been released yet. The download link will appear here at launch.

2. Install

  1. Run CommandCenter-win-Setup.exe. It installs for your Windows account and does not ask for administrator permission.
  2. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, chooseMore info, then Run anyway. Windows can show this for new software.

3. Activate

When Command Center opens, enter your license key and select Activate. Activation needs an internet connection. Your license covers one computer at a time.

4. Start using it

Press Ctrl+Space to open Command Center. A shortGetting started checklist walks you through your first menu and items.

Command Center keeps running in the system tray. Right-click the tray icon forQuick Add, Settings, and Exit.

Updating

Right-click the tray icon and choose Check for Updates. If a newer version is listed, download the installer and run it, then choose Update. Your menus, settings, and license are kept.

Moving to a new computer

On your current computer, open Settings → Licensing and chooseDeactivate This Device (this needs an internet connection). Command Center closes when it’s done. Then install Command Center on the new computer and activate it with the same key.

If the old computer no longer works, or you’ve lost your license key, emailadmin@shortworklabs.com and we’ll help you recover access.

Uninstalling

Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Command Center, and choose ⋯ → Uninstall. This removes the app, its Start menu shortcut, its Start with Windows entry, and its right-click entry in File Explorer.

Your menus and settings stay on the computer in case you reinstall. To remove them too, first open Command Center and choose Settings → Application → Delete Personal Data. It asks separately whether to delete your backups.

Uninstalling does not deactivate your license. If you’re moving to another computer, deactivate it first (see “Moving to a new computer”).
